Running: day off
Desert consumption: none until after the 1/2
Sleep level: low
I've been falling behind on running reports lately. Don't get too concerned I am running. In case you forgot, I have the NYC 1/2 marathon one week from Sunday. My concern for this half (other than never training enough) is the heat. Never in my life have I had problems running in the heat and humidity. Perhaps living in the NE is finally having an affect on my weather preferences. I've actually had to cut a few runs short due to getting over heated. Tuesday I tired to complete an 11 miler. I had to stop running around mile 8.5 due to an overwhelming feeling of nausea. Just last week I had to cut a run .5 miles short because of being light headed. You would think I could have continued on for a mere 4 more minutes, but the thoughts of passing out in the middle of the day in Central Park were not enough to lure me to continue on. I can't be one of those people for goodness sake I'm a personal trainer. What if one of my clients saw me. Just kidding. There has been more than one occurrence of leisurely strolling through the park with an ice cream in hand as a client went running by. Nice....that will keep the clients coming back for more.
